Description

Sharing anecdotes about her time as a student at UW-Madison in the late 1960’s, Jayne says her experiences inspired her to be more active in protests on campus. She recollects scenes on campus from the Dow protests and how the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy affected her as a student. Jayne also remembers the construction of the Humanities Building on campus and her disappointment with the building’s creative spaces for art students. Largely, Jayne remembers the Vietnam War’s omnipresence during her time at university.
