Description

Oberdorfer relates his family’s history in Wisconsin and their relationship to the city of Madison and UW-Madison. Oberdorfer studied zoology and neurobiology and had a good experience in the sciences and the humanities departments. Oberdorfer relates his experience working as a photographer with the underground newspaper Connections. Oberdorfer was present and photographed key moments of the second Dow demonstration in October 1967. Oberdorfer was also involved in the TAA strike of 1970. He speaks to the different cultural and political movements that were taking place on campus. He expands on the lead-up to Dow as well as the different culture clashes on campus and in the city.
