Description
Doyle, as a 13 year old from Winona, Minnesota, was first introduced to Madison from photographs of the Dow demonstrations in 1967. He was involved in the Food Cooperative movement in Winona, which had a connection to Madison, and allowed him to visit Madison frequently in the early 1970s. He went on to form the Yagri (?) Valley Community Farm. The Wisconsin Historical Society helped mentor and influence his interests in public history. In 1985, Doyle attended the University to get his degree in History.
