Miss Mary Lee Giggs, Neighborhood House playschool director, poses with her young charges (L-R): Catherine Oliva, Delores Caire, and Sam Moskowsky (Moss). The students posing for this image were selected to highlight the ethnic diversity of the children in the neighborhood, ca. 1941. Sam continued to attend youth programs at the Neighborhood House (772 W. Washington) and annex through his high school years.
