Description

Though David was involved in many of the anti-war activities in Madison in the late 1960s, he recalled his activism with environmental issues while in town for the Madison Reunion. He was a founding organizer of the Science Students Union and provided supporting research for an Environmental Defense Fund’s lawsuit against the Chemical Manufacturers Association of America. Lipsky continued research on DDT in defense of the environment and attended graduate school at Stony Brook University in New York. He has been working on environmental issues since his first job at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and continued participation in environmental activism in Long Island, NY.
