Description

This is a partial list of the presentations that "Rogelio Gonzalez" and his wife, "Maria Gonzalez" gave in Madison from Feb 1984-July 1985. Theirs was a public rather than secret sanctuary. This meant that they were willing and eager to tell their horrific story in order to educate people in Madison about the death squads, terrorism and violence in their country and the US government's role in it. All these presentations helped create the understanding and enthusiasm for the City of Madison officially naming Arcatao, El Salvador its first sister city in 1986. Bob Skloot had kept this list in his papers from that time.
